And you confirmed that the local recording was fine?  Just need to make sure you know where the issue is - actually recording, or just uploading.  If it really is an upload issue, that's strange, I can't imagine why.  You weren't trying to watch the stream while you were uploading were you?  I would stream then watch the recording on Twitch's servers.  That said, you should be able to watch it at the same time without issue but you never know...

I was watching the stream on my phone to read chat, but i'm gonna run a bandwidth test and see what happens. I'm gonna try 720p60 and a bit lowered bitrate

Both. Both made my game lag, which made my stream lag.

Lag as in network-latency, or low FPS? They are not the same thing and I really wish people would stop using the term lag to mean both. If you're experiencing high network-latency, that's an issue with your router and/or Internet. Using NVENC shouldn't affect your FPS, though, and if it does, there's something wrong with your settings or your system.

Low FPS lag, my ping was still stable at around 40-50 which is normal

so low FPS while in game?  Or just dropped frames in the stream?  I hadn't even considered the possibility of the game lagging, that's a separate issue entirely that I figured we wouldn't have to deal with.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

Try using Shadowplay instead of OBS and see what happens. There's something wrong with your settings, like I said, if using NVENC causes low FPS.

Oh, well that should be fairly easy to fix.  Same process as ever, streaming or not.  Turn down resolution, or settings, etc.

But what would I have to upgrade if I want to keep good settings? Also should I consider a 2nd streaming machine or just ugprade ram and CPU? What's the limiting factor causing me to lag?

Also I ran a test, my ping was around jumping around 40-70, 80 sometimes. I was experiencing audio popping every second, and FPS drops every second.

A second streaming machine is of course the most expensive option, but like so many things in life, the most expensive tends to be the best.  It would completely separate the streaming task/load from your main PC so whether you're streaming or not would make no difference to what you can run and how well.  It also has the benefit of not dropping the stream if your main PC BSoDs or something like that.  That said I don't think you need to do that to solve this problem, but it's something to consider if you're serious about it.  In the mean time, I'd keep playing with software solutions since that's free.  Only if nothing helps would I move on to upgrading or getting additional hardware.

So should I turn my game down to 720p or change my streaming settings?

You shouldn't notice a significant performance drop when streaming if it's setup correctly, so if the game runs fine when not streaming and lags when streaming, look into your streaming settings.  If it is lagging all the time, turn down game settings.

Yea I only lag when I stream, I run all high settings and I get 60 smooth, when I stream my frames drop massively, so I am looking into my settings now.

I put my game down to 1080x720, using NVENC, I am lagging but not as bad as before, but I still cannot play on these settings. It feels like I've tried everything.

I set the stream to 720p as well.

Maybe its my GPU? I only have 3 GB of VRAM, that could be causing the problem since I'm playing a game and streaming off of my GPU.

Your system is limited in a few ways, but NVENC should be able to do a 720p stream without lag.

Post all of your OBS settings from Output and Video.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...
