upgrading fm2+

I have a custom pc with an fm2+ socket. My processor is the a10 7700k and I'm looking to upgrade to the best processor for this socket. I'm running a gtx 1070 with it so with games like gta v would be cpu heavy.

What is the best upgrade for this cpu socket? Or should I invest on an i7 board which would cost me $500 - $600. Also, around that price range, what's the best way to gain better fps in newer games? Appreciate the feedback, thanks

i7 or the ryzen (depending on your needs) would be an option. If you do more than just gaming and need more threads go for the ryzen and with your budget you should grab good stuff

Do you have the money for a modern upgrade?

If so you should get an R5 2600 + ASrock B450 board and 3000mhz memory.

modern CPUs are way better for gaming.
