How to install a new ssd with a new OS and get rid of old OS

AndreRuiz5

So I am new to computers so bare with me. I have only one hard drive in my pc and I want to upgrade to ssd. I plan on installing a new windows operating system into my ssd because i tampered with settings in my old one and messed it up. I plan on taking out my hard drive, install the ssd and install windows. After I do that, i want to install my hard drive back in because I want the extra storage. Will there be any problems since my hard drive will have an OS as well? I thought about formatting my hard drive before i make the swap but i am not sure if that would work. Hopefully this post makes sense. Thank you!

That's fine, all you need to do is boot, go to your BIOS and choose your boot device to be a pendrive or disc with Windows and then you can format both drives and install Windows on the SSD.
