Hi everyone just bought a 1070ti armor and have been reading up on reviews about thermals etc. New to all this so just looking for a bit of advice on how to better cool the card without going watercooled?

Read an amazon review about reducing the applied voltage slightly and checking and reapplying better thermal paste.

Anyone have experience with the card and their advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You can run the fans at 100% but you really shouldn't have bought an armor card for air cooling.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Thanks for the reply. Will play about with it when i get it and down the road will probably go with a waterblock but in the mean time will be sticking with air cooling got a good deal on it so thats why I ended up buying it. Temps wise is it really as bad as quoted. I plan to game at 1080p and mostly games like csgo, pubg, fortnite etc so hoping it wont be too bad but like I say im new to this so just trying to get as much info as I can.

Just undervolt the card or limit it's power draw by like 25-30%

The highest tier card they should have ever put that cooler on is like the 1060

Also I really wouldn't waste money water cooling a 1070ti, next gen GPUs are being announced on the 20th most likely.

Yeah seen that video man and I will give that a try. Yeah your right id probably be better saving money for a next gen card rather than buying a waterblock, makes sense. Thanks for the help man cheers!
