Anybody have any suggestions to bring the price down a little bit without compromising too much on the power of the machine I want? Also I need help with coming up with a codename. xD

Budget is around $3300 USD, hoping to get some stuff on sale.

I would like to use this pc for gaming at 1440p at full graphics and 144-165fps for around 3 years. I also do a little video editing and cad program rendering from time to time. But the main use is gaming. I play all types of games.

I'm going to be running one monitor and adding another later.

Swap the motherboard for the Hero, reduce RAM if it's for gaming, get rid of the NVMe drive if it's not for content creation, swap the 960 for the 970 if it's actually going to be useful, swap the 860 for an MX500, get the non-OC version of the GPU (or swap it for something like the SC2 Hybrid), a cheaper case won't hurt performance, swap the fans for the ML or LL, don't get two RGB/fan controllers, swap the monitor for the XB271HU bmiprz or PG279Q (both cost more, but have an IPS panel, both use exactly the same panel, I think)

:)

What exactly is an mx500? Do you have any suggestions for the name of the build?
