I believe that the performance will still be limited by the slower card.. That video proves that they work together (after all, we've known that the 7950 can CF with a 7970, and the 280X is the same as a 7970), but the way it's worked int he past is that the fast card has to downclock itself to match the performance of the slower card..

Well I wanted crossfire for my 7950 and I guess this is better than 2 7950's

Since this video does not compare two 7950s to 7950+280X, that claim is not supported..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

I just ordered a r9 280x so I am really excited to game with it. I have a 6870 so I doubt those can be crossfire.

unofficially speaking :ph34r: is like if the 7000 series was the unofficial R9 100

so yea ^_^ they are compatible (is like gen1 and gen2 friend)

but the 6000 series is to old -_- (and is 40nm vs the 28nm from 7000 and R9 200 series)

but yea, this is like super unofficial underground news lol  :lol: so, don't ask any proof

APU = A10
