i booted my pc to try playing X-Plane 11 and it uninstalled and i use this all flight sim almost everyday  but the game folder is still there but steam treats it like i need too install the game again

press the install button. it will do some things and then realise it is already installed. i had the same problem once with gta v. but be sure to choose the same instal location and not another drive

Pressed it and it's just insalling again but i did check where the file is located

Move the directory out temporarily. Then let it try to install through Steam for 5 mins. Then close Steam. Paste and overwrite the files with the directory you temporarily moved out. Re-open Steam. Verify game files. Let it sit idling for a while and try to launch it.

Probably gaming or helping technophobes with tech...
