So my pc is around a month old. These are the specs.

i3-8100, Corsair Vengeance 2x4, EVGA 450BT PSU, and no gpu yet. I could play any game fine. Yesterday GTA would cause my PC to just go to a black screen. Nothing would work, ALT F4, Clrt Alt Del, NOTHING. I restarted my PC and its still fine. I played fortnite all day today. Its fine not a single crash. I go to GTA. After 5 minutes the same thing happens. I searched it up and saw someone say switch your ram sticks, that did nothing. Its not my cooling. My CPU has never gone over 45C the whole time. Please help! I also reinstalled GTA twice so that isnt the issue.

Verify game cache my dude, sometimes files can get corrupt.

And I don't understand how you can play GTA without at least a decent GPU. At least not enjoyably.

Cheers.

I played 720p all low and I get a solid 40fps. Its fine for me since I never got to experience a game looking nice lol. When I get my GPU in less than a month I hope that will change. Also thanks! Il try it now.

I don't know then man - It might be the lack of GPU that could cause it too. Not too sure otherwise.

I'm thinking it might be the GPU because sometimes before this the game would crash with an error message having to do with the GPU.

There ya go then! :)

EDIT: Get a GPU mate ;)

Its 100% the GPU. I put my game in windowed mode and had task manager. My GPU was at 100% the whole entire time. But I did not crash so until I get a GPU i guess I have to play windowed.
