Evesham Micros/ Vale 1980s PC Help

Hi,

 

So my grandad just gave me an old model M without the lead (it was lost and he doesn't know if it works or not) an old Evesham Micros Computer with a Pentium 90, and the monitor to go with it. Any tips on how to get this thing running? I have the install floppies for 3.1, but it doesn't work. I think the hard drive needs formatting or something.
