Hi! Whenever I plug in my laptop to charge it, the Power mode changes to Recommended. Is there anyway I can change from Recommended to Battery Saver. I've already tried moving the slider from Best Performance to Best Battery Life, but the power mode still doesn't change. I've also tried changing the battery settings to change to Battery Saver whenever the battery is less than 100%.

Thanks!

According to Microsoft (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/customize/desktop/customize-power-slider), the slider is only available in the Balanced power profile. Which to me makes sense because that profile allows maximum flexibility of how the OS can change power states on the hardware. If you use the Power Saver power profile, then it caps power states aggressively, so there's no real reason for the slider to be available. On the opposite end, the High Performance power profile keeps all the hardware at maximum power cap levels, more or less.

Basically, the slider is just there as an easier way for users to fine tune how they want the the Balanced profile to behave.
