New build suggestions/improvements welcome

SypherRS

Hi,

I've been prepping to build a PC for gaming and general use (Internet, video/photo editing) and I've finally gathered enough money to be able to afford a decent rig.

As you can probably tell, I've never built a PC from scratch before, but I've done many simple fixes to my sisters and friends PCs over the years. So I kinda know a little bit about it at least.

Anyway this is the setup I've assembled:

CPU: Intel Core i7 - 8700K

MB: ASUS PRIME Z370-P

Cooler: SilentiumPC Navis PRO 240 AiO

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti ARMOR 8G

Memory: HyperX Fury Black 16GB kit (2x8GB), 2666 Mhz, DDR4

SSD: Samsung 960 EVO 250GB

HDD: WD Black 2TB

PSU: EVGA 750BQ      # I was thinking SuperNova, but they seem too expensive for what they offer. Change my mind?

Case: NZXT S340 Elite

Adds up to ~1862,60€, w/o tax ~1552€

Link to build on Alza (the place I'll be buying from): https://www.alza.sk/nakupni-seznamy.htm?sharelist=766568716D6D697B2

Suggestions are welcome. Please check for any compatibility issues that may occur, I really don't want to buy a 1600€ paperweight.

Thanks

Laptop:

ROG Strix Scar II 15,6"

CPU: Core i7-8750H 6c/12t GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6G RAM: 32GB 2666 MHz Display: 144Hz 3ms OS: Windows 11 Home

look for a Z370-A, extreme4, SLI plus orgaming pro carbon instead, the Z370-P has poor VRMs.

Don't buy a Z370-P, that is a rubbish motherboard for any 6- core CPU.

Funny how you have a Z370-P and a 6 core CPU and you're calling it rubbish.

Get something like a Z370-F instead.

I don't think I want to pay >200€ for a Motherboard, but the Z370-A seems like a good choice over the Z370-P

Z370-A is a nice choice too, I just really can't recommend the Z370-P when you're choosing an 8700K.

Is there a difference in Price/Performance or they're just generally better?

And the SSD is there to stay, I don't think I need more then 250GB....

I’ve never had a WD black but I doubt you’d notice much of a difference from a normal HDD.
