Now, I loooove the RGB on this keyboard, but is the price tag in other way justifiable? They boast about the opto-mechanical switches, but is there any real performance increase noticeable compared to a usual mechanical keyboard.

Now I definitely have more razer products than is healthy (4 controllers and a keyboard,) so let me be the first to tell you that while the feel of using a razer product is really good, they are definitely waaay overpriced. Think of it as the Apple tax of PC gaming.

Ohhhhh ok, a simile I can understand. Considering (apart from pc) I've fallen into the apple ecosystem, I can deal with adding razer to that over spending

it's worth EVERY  PENNY - I just got one and here's a mini review of my experience - FWIW - the opto-mechanical switches are easily THE BEST mechanical switches on the market  for typing and gaming - and the build quality of this board is off the charts - check out the link below
