USB 80mm fan

So my Dell has been hitting 60C+, and the CPU shuts down the computer at 67C. I was curious about getting a USB 80mm fan that I can change the speed of to help cool it down. And the quieter the better.

why a USB fan? It would be stuck at 5V anyways so it won't move much air.

Every little bit helps.

 

where do you wanna put that fan? O.o

I don't know yet, but it's gonna have to be in the back, since it's one of the smaller ones.

have you tried cleaning the dust out and reapplying thermal paste?

Thing is dust-free and has some of the kick ass Noctua paste on it.

Good stuff. In that case you probably need a extra fan. I just have a generic molex 80mm fans in the front of my dell where the floppy and optical drive used to be, because i swapped out the 2ghz celeron for a 2.53ghz p4, which makes quite a bit more heat. Depending on which dell you have you might even fit a 92mm fan.

I have the small one that takes a regular size optical drive, so that won't really work.
