Hi I've finally reassembled my coffee lake system after my gigabyte motherboard breaking completly.

So what I did was purchase a new MSI z370 gaming plus motherboard and overclocked the cpu on all cores to 5ghz and the memory to 2800mhz

Now when I opened up XSplit as I was trying to see if my temps would go up when streaming it was stating my processor was running at 5.9 - 6.2ghz which leaves me a bit confused as to how thats even possible

If anyone knows wut the heck is going on please reply

unless you are cooling your cpu with LN2 it seems unlikely a overclock of 6ghz would be possible without blowing the chip. i had a problem with my asus board automatically overclocking my pc which caused me instability check your bios for a setting that automatically overclocks your cpu. also try something like HWmoniter maybe xspit is reading it wrong or check it on task manager
