looking for 2x8 GB sticks because from what iv quickly scimmed trough , dual channel is better than 1x16 GB stick

also spent some time looking at ram speeds and latency and all that jazz but cant find any concrete answers besides lower cl better more speed also better

is there any reason to go above 2666MHz with intel i7-8700 ( and probably Asus - Prime Z370-P ATX LGA1151 board) since there is a chance that XMP profile might not work and etc.

so i was looking at 2666 memory and saw that some of them had cl19 witch would be horrible , but most of them even out at 16

so my question is what would be the best recommended 2x8gb sticks under 200 euros that would not make my system feel unresponsive and all that jazz (like a ram that wont go faulty after some use, so trusted brands/models)

Are you buying a new PC? If so why not save some cash with an R5 2600?

Fastest/Cheapest kit is usually best, 3000mhz or better.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

normally you dont pay much extra for DDR4-3000 kits. I would just grab one of those..

https://www.gskill.com/en/configurator?manu=29&chip=3094&model=3096

Use the g.skill configurator to see other options though, G.skill is pretty reliable when it comes to QVL and testing RAM with the advertised speeds.

G.Skill Aegis DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3000, CL16-18-18-38 (F4-3000C16D-16GISB) is a pretty cheap one f.e.
