H100i V2 - how it performs?

Hi everyone, I'm currently making a list of components for my next build and I'm stuck on deciding on what cooler I should buy for i7-8700k. I have been looking at https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CW-9060025-WW-Extreme-Performance-Liquid/dp/B019EXSSBG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1532806304&sr=8-1&keywords=h100+v2 and I like the overall look of it and I was wandering if anyone here has used this cooler already for their build and could tell me how it performs?

I don't use this cooler in my personal build but from what I have heard from reviews of it, is that it is one of the best AIO coolers out there.

It was actually in my list of parts to buy for my next build because I heard it performs wonderfully. I have a friend who bought it and it said it's the best AIO he's ever had so I was planning on getting it myself.

Do you think I would be able to achieve a nice overclock with it?

I've used it in a ton of builds. Reliable and performs well.

I honestly cannot state an opinion on overclocking because I never overclock my hardware as I don't have a reason or need to, sorry.

How about a high end air cooler like a Dark Rock Pro 4 or NH-D15?

Dark Rock 4 Pro is way too big for my liking, and I just don't really like Air Coolers.

Not any trickier than any other cooler. Just need to install the backplate on the mobo which is a breeze these days since even if you forget, most cases have tray cutouts.

Thanks for the info, I'm probably gonna go for it but I'm kinda pessimistic cause I've read that some people complained that their pump failed within 1-4 months.

You will read failures for literally every product in existence.

Not for air cooler. The only two things that will fail in air cooler are the mounting mechanism and the fans.
