Hi, some time ago I've upgraded my FX8350 to R5 1600. In most games my FPS went up by a lot, but some games like League of Legends and Aion now perform much worse.

I mainly play BF1, there I get stable 70+ FPS on max settings with rare drops to 60s. In League however, I'm only getting 60-65 with frequent drops to 30s. What's weird is that with FX8350 and RX480 I was getting stable 80+ FPS with no drops.

I've tried many other AAA games like Witches 3, AC: Origins and there CPU performs flawlessly with GPU at 100% load and CPU 60-70%

In League CPU always jumps from 20% to 50% back to 30%. And GPU always stays around 40-50%.

Any ideas to why this is happening? System runs fine because in other games it works perfectly. CPU is not overclocked.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

Iirc bf series likes more cores.... That being said the fx has two more cores and base and turbo clocks are both faster on the fx chip. Maybe this is why.

The Ryzen has more threads, and the clockspeeds don't matter, because of the IPC difference. The Ryzen is like 50% faster per core

:)

1stick 2sticks? Is it running at 3000? Ryzen does benefit greatly from bandwidth, could be your problem though.

2 sticks running dual channel running at 3000Mhz. Its not an issue because as I said I play AAA games with no issues at all.

It's the frequencies of the fx that were better, after looking.
