URGENT

I recently purchased a hard drive bay to edit from rather than using all my hard drives, so all of my progress was on the HDD bay

One day the bay stopped working, but luckily everything on it was a copy, the problem is as follows

I tried to relink all the files by connecting all of my hard drives at once, I always get pretty far but then all of a sudden Premier Pro crashes.

I can only link one file at a time and there are over 300 such clips.

Any quick fixes.

Thanks.

thanks

my project file was linked to my editing harddrives

those failed

so i have over 6 harddrives containing the raw footage (file names are exactly the same)

but

when i relink them the program crashes midway and i then have restart the process of linking

i have two sets of the footage

is there anyway to link all of the footage at once rather than linking them individually

Still don't understand. If your harddrives has separate letters, you can copy every harddrive into separate directory on your working hdd, then use subst function like:

subst E: C:\diske

subst F: C:\diskf

etc.

System creates "drives" letters and Premiere can find your files at their origina paths.

Thanks for trying to help I've individually linked all the media from separate HDDs to Premier pro as my editing HDD bay is DEAD.

So once I've linked and made all the clips offline and save it'll stay linked right and i won't have to re-link them?

So, you connect all your separate HDDs and every HDD has always the same letter? Or what?

The method is that you must made it like paths remains the same.

Sorry if I don't fully understand how are you working. I'm familiar with Adobe Premiere but can't understand (step by step) how do you use your drives.

the way i am working currently is a makeshift way until i replace my hard drive enclosure as i edit from backups and leave the originals to a side

but since my HDD enclosure died i have to work from 6 individual external WD HDDs therefore linking all the individual clips to the timeline in premier pro

so i literally have 6 HDDs plugged in the computer.

for some reason premier pro asked for me to manually relink the clips rather than automatically relinking.
