OS for tablet car mod

Hello I'm taking on the project of converting my radio to tablet 

Tablet : I have a samsung galaxy tab 2 ,  7.0  

 

What os should I put in it ?

I need help with the Software side of this project

Hey mate, I am thinking of doing the same thing as you, and will be soon.

 

I chose Android as my main OS for the build. Mainly because of the integration with sensors and other aftermarket features that I just simply can't get with Apple OS.

 

As an example: I have a Landcruiser, and I go off-road a lot. So I need something that I can measure and display my tire pressure with. You can purchase aftermarket tire pressure sensors that screw on to your caps and lock in place, and by bluetooth to the 2DIN tablet is able to display the tire pressures for each individual car.

 

It has all to do with what exactly you want to use it for.

Not sure yet mate. 

 

I was thinking of buying a tablet head unit from Sony or Pioneer but not sure yet as to how I would do it. I'll definitely reply to this thread when I do it though.
