Hi,
I have a asus laptop with windows 7 and ubuntu.
Eveything works fine, except when I try to turn off the laptop using the windows or ubuntu button, the screen goes black, but the cpu fan and the power led keeps working.
I have to hold the power button for 5 seconds to shut down the laptop completely

I tried with a linux live dvd and few seconds after I clicked on the power off button the laptop freeze on the screen with all the commands.
However, I found something interesting, I guess.

Maybe someone will be able to help me.
I noted three commands:
"Could not unmount /lib/live/mount/medium device is busy"
"Failed to finalize file system, ignoring"
"acpi: preparing to enter in sleep mode"

Then, the laptop freeze to:
"reboot: power off"
