This has been getting on my nerves for the past month or so. I'll set up the window so it's perfectly positioned to watch YouTube whilst using the other half of the screen to play games, word documents, etc (see screenshot 1). However, when I close the window and reopen it there's a small gap at the left and bottom edges (screenshot 2) and I keep having to move it again.

This never used to be an issue until about maybe a month or two ago, I'm not really sure. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling chrome, installing the latest graphics drivers, updating windows, but nothing seems to have cured it.

Any suggestions or solutions are greatly appreciated.

Just pitching in to say I also have this problem, Chrome always doesn't open in full nowadays when it used to always open in full.

You might need 3rd party software to manage window positions. Multi-monitor software should be able to do this, so Actual Multiple Monitors, MultiMon and DisplayFusion (I have this one and it can do it ).
