So over the past 3 or so months, I've recently been having issues with my PC being unable to run games properly; specifically overwatch and fortnite. As the crash over the course of 20-40 minutes of playtime; showing no issues. I've tried:

  • to optimised all my settings within each game using both the Geforce application and by setting everything to low.
  • I've also made sure my gpu drivers are up to date
  • I've also verified the files of each game
  • And I've never overclocked

However I'm still having the same issues. When games like overwatch crash I am prompted with something explaining that my gpu timed out. Whilst when fortnite crashes, the game freezes and I'm unable to exit it by using task manager; unless I'm in window mode. I'm really unsure on how to diagnose where the problem might be coming from, my PC is quite old, between 3 to 4 years. I feel like I've run the hardware down with the multiple hard shutdowns, I've done over the years. I'm really open to suggestions right now, I'm also open to affordable hardware changes as a suggestion (ie, changing to an SSD).

you've got good hardware, so I believe it's a software problem. Are you willing to reinstall windows to get it all working again? it would be good to have a test hard drive to slap into your system to see if it truly is a software problem.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
