Need a little info

uReqt

I am buying the HyperX Cloud II but there has been some bad verbal reviews I have had people tell me. They say that its not a good mic for ingame voice com's with games  like R6,Overwatch, COD, Rust and BR Games. I was wondering if this was true and that is this headset worth it. The Cloud II's are in my price range and seem pretty much perfect, the only thing Im worried about is the mic quality ingame. Can anyone who owns/used to own give me some incite.

Thanks

All headset mics are trash

most of them sound good enough though.

Go for open headphones though, like the SIbera 200s

I wan't a stand mic (With the stand and all) but I'm unsure about it due to the USB and Jack. Do I need to get a USB one for the 7.1 Surround sound? Or am I just tripping cus I honestly don't have a single clue. Also the mixer is that a necessary part because again I do not know how to do it. @Streetguru any1 that helps much thx's

Headset/Headphone surround sound is all just BS, doesn't matter if it's USB or 3.5mm for most things.

I agree. On headphone, surround sound does not matter.

Just get a pair of Headset  ( mic and headphone )  in your price range. You can do a bit of research in YouTube for best sound quality.

I have a set of SteelSeries , Mic is ok not great but ok , headphone are fine

After researching I just went to the store and bought the one I like,

@Streetguru in that case what Mic and Stand do you suggest, my budget it 70 pounds for the mic and 20 for the stand. (Mic arm w/ clamp for desk)

Not needed, headset mics will be fine for in game audio, especially if your motherboard has decent onboard audio, possibly with noise supression.

If you really want a USB Mic get a Samson GO Mic, just don't plug your headphones into it.

If you get a Mic , you may ambient noise when using , door closing, fans ....

Make sure to get unidirectional mic, it will record only in one direction, not the whole room

Are you producing content for the internet regularly or having important business calls on your PC?

If no you don't need an $80 microphone.

@Streetguru Because I would rather spend my money on something which looks decent and sounds good, other then something which sounds good but has a sock over it and looks ugly?. Thats your opinion and I respect that but It's my money and I'd rather spend it on looks as well as performance.

I can assure you that no one cares what kind of microphone you use. The GO mic is just the easiest to deal with should you want a USB Mic, can just put it onto your monitor potentially and it'll be fine.

Or get one of these

If you want to buy a higher end microphone buy a Yeti or AT 2020, but you really don't need one.
