With a Mediatek Chip it won't be a competitor for the Tab S4 ^^ This is a Midrange SoC at best - and wasn't top notch when it launched 2 years ago.

1550 Single Core Points on Geekbench 4.1, and only 2600~ Multicore points... The Snapdragon 820 from 2016, which runs the Tab S3, is already by far stronger.

But Specs are solid midrange~

Amoled Display with a good Resolution sounds extremely good. While you don't always need high end SoC in a Tablet, for Reading, browsing, watching content, an Amoled screen with this resolution sounds very very awesome.

But it still comes with Android so.. that's a huge con in the Tablet sector sadly :/ Bad OS optimization for Tablet size, Apps aren't all that well optimized for Tablets, and it's unsure for how long you get updates at all. Especially with a "mediatek" (ugh... Why couldn't it have been a much much more interesting snapdragon 630-660~?!

It's still debatable, if it's a good buy over an iPad 2018, because of much better Apps, and muuuch longer OS Support.

But tbh, i see the 2560x1600 AMOLED Panel as pretty much THE Killerfeature. But it better stay below 300-350 bucks (aka, below Huawei Mediapad M5~) area.

After September and the iPad Pro 3rd generation, 2nd generation iPad Pro 10.5" will continue to drop in prices, and come closer.
