Insane CPU OC

8700k OCs about the same under LN2, Skylake X tends to stay sub 6 ghz due to various reasons (I believe part of it is the Fully Integrated Voltage Controller stops working after around -100C so you can't get the cpus as cold)

Depends on the chip. Which comes down to silicon lottery and then having more cores might cause more leakage as more things are crammed into a given area.

 

So that being said the 7ghz was on Ln2 and was not something they could sustain for a decent length of time. There have been other chips overclocked higher.
