Greeting,

I recently got the "Display driver failed to start" error on my laptop and the error happens very often. The error itself usually goes away when i restart my laptop once or twice; However, i don't know what is the culprit. I believe it happens after the Nvidia driver update, but the error still pops up after the i rolled back to the previous driver which used to work fine. Sometime i boot up my laptop, everything looks bigger than usual, so i went to the device manager and checked the Display adapters, both the Intel and Nvidia drivers has the triangle warning sign on it. I tried restart the laptop, nothing changed until i update my driver again through GeForce Experience and then it works again. The question is how can i permanently fix this problem? Is it a hardware thing or software?
Thanks in advance!

This very much sound like a software only issue.
What hardware are you using.
I would try using display driver uninstaller to completely remove the driver and clean reinstall it.

Thanks for reply. I'm using a laptop with a GTX 1060 and of course the Intel Graphic.
