The kingston drive uses triple layer cell nand, but the sunbow's composition is nowhere to be found, so I'm not sure what kind of speed upgrade you would get. If you have the option, however, an m.2 SSD would be a definite upgrade.

if you want faster, i think M.2 drives are the direction you want to go. one 2.5" ssd probably won't be noticeably better than the next.

(yes, i know there are technical differences in all sorts of things, but is the average user really going to notice?)

 

that said, replacing a 60 with a 120 seems like a really small upgrade. why not spend a bit more for the 240gb or 480gb?

if your existing motherboard can support it, m.2 ssd cost a bit more, but are a lot faster.
