So i have a 60hz monitor thats almost 13 years old and im saving up to buy a new one since this ones only 1680x1050 but i was wondering if i overclock the monitor to 75hz. And if i play at 1152x864 will the game (Rainbow six siege) let me play at 90 hz?

I wouldn't expect that old of a monitor to let you do that. Also, it can damage your display, so you're putting the thing at risk. Nothing wrong with 60Hz if you can't back it up with beefy hardware anyway.

maybe, but you need to overclock the monitor to 90Hz first. Reducing resolution doesnt mean the monitor can hit higher frequencies

Thing is in my country stuff is too expensive and i couldnt afford to buy a new monitor thanks anyway
