I want to stream rainbow six siege on my pc with obs, but the stream ends up being super laggy and stuttery. I have a 21:9 display and i tried streaming in both 21:9 and 16:9 with stream stuff covering the black parts. I tried streaming in 1080 720 60 fps and 30fps with a bitrate of 2000-2500. My internet is 100 mbps down and 30 mbps up sl it should be fine in that regard. I have a ryzen 1600 at around 3.85 and i overclocked my ram to 2800 but then went back to 2666. And obs settings i should change. I tried changing the cpu usage thing and im super confused why its so laggy. You could look in my desc vvvvvvv  for full specs but i have a ryzen 1600, rx580 8g and 16gb of ram. And tips???

First, take a look at Twitch bitrate recomendation https://stream.twitch.tv/

2500kbps is fine for 720p30 and lower resolution. For higher resolution you will need higher bitrate. 6000kbps is current non-partner max. Though your viewers must have atleast 8mbps download speed to view your stream without buffering.

Monitor your RAM and CPU usage while streaming. If CPU is maxed and RAM over 80% of use, they can't handle the load from streaming and you need to drop resolution and bitrate.

Twitch has priority based system on their servers. Non-partners get the worst end so if you connect to server which is under large load, your output will get lower quality and buffering issues.

To troubleshoot any following issues, find out at which point your stream has issues. Is OBS dropping frames? Is viewer side buffering, pixelating or otherwise poor quality? Is preview poor quality and pixelated. You can also record local to troubleshoot issues related to your hardware and OBS settings. Also, to get further help on this issue, post screenshots of your settings screens.

I got it working but only at 1920 x1080 30 fps and 720p at 60. As a personal question which would you prefer.

Depends on bitrate. If they are using same bitare, then 1080p.

Ok, then 720p. More crisp for sure. For starting streamer you don't really need good quality output, just good content. I've watched streamers with 480p but they were commenting gameplay almost all the time. At the same time there's some WoW stream with beastly quality and just music playing. Maybe someone into WoW stays, but no random viewer.
