CPU for sure, but I'd hold off buying a new graphics card, general consensus is to hold off until later this year to await the newer Nvidia graphics cards.

But the new GPUs will probably cost a lot.

What if I buy everything besides a new gpu and then when the new ones come I’ll  upgrade my gpu.

Yeah sure, the GTX 970 is still a nice card by today's standards anyway. When the new graphics cards come out, the 10 series ones should decline in price, but heaven knows when.

You can still absolutely go for a GTX 1080 if you feel you'll not go for the new cards.

Well I only have a 1080p monitor and don’t plan on getting a new monitor until like 2019-2020

Is it worth upgrading from this build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cVFndX to something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/y6DdxG ?

i would get a cheaper aio, like a 280mm h115i, and a slightly cheaper mobo, and use that money for a better gpu in the future.

sounds like unstable overclock and/or high temps. what games are you playing?

Battlefield 1, GTA, Witcher 3, Forza 7 etc. I haven’t overclocked yet. It says something like ‘system_thread_exception’ on the blue screens.
