Hi Everyone,

This is my first time building a computer and these are the parts I have selected (The case is not final and I have the opportunity to change it).

CPU: i5 8600K

Cooler: Cryorig H7

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z370-F

RAM: 2x8gb G-Skill TridentZ RGB

PSU: Corsair RM750x 750w PSU

GPU: Asus ROG Strix 1080 (1836MHz)

Case: Corsair 275R

Please let me know your opinions of my selection and give me any tips you have to complete my build with as few hitches as possible.

Note: I probably won’t be overclocking immediately but I plan to do so after a few years after upgrading my cooling solution.

The PSU is overkill. You don't need 750W. 550W will be plenty already.

I’ve already ordered it so I guess I’ll just keep it now. And surely I’d need more than 550w if I were to overclock in the future wouldn’t I?

Build looks good just get the Noctua NH-D15

I had this cooler on my FX8350 and i was able to be stable at 5.1GHz its a great air cooler if not the best and its around $70 give or take.

I thought about it but I thought it wouldn’t fit in the case. Especially because I’m using high profile ram. I don’t plan to do much other than gaming for a few years so I think I’ll stick to the cryorig. Thanks for your opinion though.

If In the US and comfortable switching the fan on your cooler possible to switch to the 110.3 CFM Scythe Slipstream on heatsinks with a 120MM fan to generally get between 40-60% more airflow. US cost is ~$10 bucks. Little loud at 37 Dba though.

Rawr.

No, not really. But it's okay, if you ever decide to go SLI (don't do it) you will have a PSU capable of holding two GPUs.

I’m in Bahrain. It’s not that easy for me to change stuff because shipping on some items costs as much if not more than the price of the items.

Yeah. And I could even re-use it in other systems as power supplies don’t change much over the years.
