Need help with nas

hello everyone. I want to set a nas or network attached storage as you may but i dont want it to be connected to my router because the speeds are not good even with cable so i wanted to know if i can set a 10 gigabit network nas connected directly to my pc with a 10 gig network card. If its possible could you help me hoe to make it?

Huh why not router? Your internet speeds won't affect the nas at all, and you want the nas to be able to talk to the internet for updates and the like.

 

Budget? how much storage.

 

Yes you can do a 10gbe direct connection.
