CPU temp

Hi

i play a lot of fortnite and i am playing on a laptop. but recently i had downloaded MSI Afterburner. i was using speedfan before but since the speed does not show temp on screen while gaming i started using Afterburner. but i have noticed that the Afterburner always show all my CPU temps higher than speedfan. usually +15. so can any one help me plz, i want to know which one should i trust MSI or speedfan.

It's normal, it's an old program and sometimes doesn't read newer hardware right. Definitely trust Afterburner over SpeedFan to show you the correct temperatures. It isn't really a big deal as you're only using it to set fan profiles anyway.

 

Exact same thing for me, a 15C difference between the two. You can go into SpeedFan and set a 15C reporting delta if it bothers you.
