Custom PC build Help

I am building a Gaming PC just wanted to know if these parts are compatible and if the system will boot up, I am am open to suggestions and additions. Also What kind of tools for the building of the system?, Thanks.

Case: Corsair Carbide Series 200R Midi-tower Case - NO PSU, Black

2xUSB 3.0, 1xAudio, 120mm Fan, Steel Mtructure With Molded ABS Plastic Accent Pieces, ATX

CPU: Intel Core 3570k Quad core (3.40GHz - 3.80 GHz Turbo, 650-1150MHz GPU)

LGA1155, 5.0 GT/s DMI, 6gb cache,22mn,77W

CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H60 High performance Liquid CPU cooler - LGA1155, 1156, 1366, 2011, AMD AM2, AM3, FM1, 1x120mm Fan, 55CFM, 30.85dBA

8x SATA, 2x PCI-E

I don't think I will put a DVD Drive into the system but I will get an external DVD Drive for all computers in the house.

Only thoughts are - SSD drive for a boot disk. And the H60? Are you getting this on some serious sale? A lot of better air coolers will out perform it. Maybe look into an H80 unit or something like a CM Hyper V 212 cooler - very good, economical solution.

this is pretty awesome everything should work fine assuming you dont get any parts DOA (dead on arrival) if you have the budget get a 120gb ssd aswell for a boot and install drive give you super speeds and get your self a 16gb usb drive (if you dont have one) and just install windows with the usb and once your done you got yourself a 16gb Usb drive you can never have to many Thumb drives remember if you run into any problems with the build post it on here we can all help

Yes, I agree with the previous comments forget the H60, pretty much a rip off, CM hyper 212+ evo for like 25 bucks will do the same job, do you plan on overclocking it by alot then I would go for H100+ type of products, but I think a 212 will get you 4.3ghz easy.

I would double check the minimum recommended power for the GTX 660, I think a 650watt is overkill on a system like this. I think you can save like 30 bucks if you go like 550 or 500 watt, not sure what the recommended is (too lazy to check) but keep in mind you do need more juice if you plan to overclock the GPU / CPU. Maybe spend the extra for a 660ti, help future proof the card more, I think its a better price to performance ratio.

SSDs are da bomb, once you go SSD you never go back to regular HDD, maybe get a samsung 840 regular usually $95 on sale every week for 120gb version. Pretty cheap and economical.

You might want to list a budget and we'll come up with an all round better build for you.

I personally think that you should not go for an i5 3570K when your graphics card is a 660, save a bit on your CPU + various other parts and get an HD 7950 3GB card.

Oh, intel CPUs are significantly more expensive in Australia.

You might want to consider AMD processors, especially with amount of savings that you can achieve by going with an AMD platform that will allow you to put those savings into a better graphics card & an SSD.
