IPS VS TN

Has anyone experienced/owned both an IPS and TN monitor, if so, could you give your input on the differences and whether or not IPS is worth the extra $$$?

I've owned both and honestly the price difference is so small these days there's almost no reason to get a TN panel anymore. You can find decent 1080p IPS panels for cheap, like under $200 for a 27", or under $150 for a 24". The gains you get in viewing angles and color reproduction are really good, and the response times are ok for gaming (though maybe not for esports).

Good to hear, thanks man. Would you say there is a difference in response time for 1ms and 5ms? Or is it not really visible to the human eye?

Get IPS 5ms panel instead of 1ms TN panel for casual gaming like RPG, indie, arcade games or some online games like fortnut(lmao) or pubg

Unless you are a pro  esports player then get a tn panel with high refresh rate and  1ms response  time

You can't even know. Different manufacturers and different product lines use different methods to get the response time. It almost never an apples to apples comparison. Just get the IPS, you'll be happy with it
