Mid 2011 iMac upgrade

Does anyone know if a mid 2011 mac is upgradeable? Right now I have a 1 GB Apple 661-5969 AMD Radeon HD 6970M, Card, Video - Mid 2011 graphics card and 4 gigs of ram. I also have a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and im kind of new to tech, but does changing the graphics mean i have to get a new processor too? (If it does can someone link me a better video card that I can install)

You can swap the gpu, as its in a mxm slot, but your limited to apple gpus, and thats the fastest one for that model.

 

The cpu is seprate from the gpu.

 

If you want to game, Id just get a new system, you can't upgrade that system too much other than adding more ram and a ssd.

your next upgrade should be a decently-sized trashcan and a new computer
imacs are notoriously impossible to upgrade

If I recall you can upgrade the RAM to 1600 - 1866 MHz 16GB like the macbook and an SSD. I'm not sure if the CPU is socketed or it uses MXM sorry.
