I saw both of your posts and I may have a possible answer.

 

This HDD has data on it and you placed it in a 4bay storage device? if that is the case you need to remove the drive and read it in your pc first to see the data or format the drive then place it in the 4bay device so the the device can properly read and see the correct. The data on the drive cant be recognized properly by the 4bay device your using.

 

I may be wrong but that is my understanding.

have you tried connecting the Disc to another port?

What does it show if you open the Drive in the Disc Management (dunno how its called in english, its Datenträgerverwaltung in german) This: Datentraegerverwaltung.png

That is very strange... Have you tried reading the drive using another OS like Linux?  Have you made sure it's not as simple as it's filled with hidden files and you don't have it set to show them? :P  If neither of those things work, I'd try connecting it directly to the PC rather than using the dock.  Regardless, I would not format the drive as that will most certainly cause you to lose whatever is on it.
