Have you purposefully not used the latest generation 8th gen Intel chips?

Probably gaming or helping technophobes with tech...

Bad choice of motherboard and the cpu, everything else looks good, I would look in to an ssd for the OS

PSU of choice is overkill, but it's the best value you can get right now. 550w is a stretch, and I can't find a good priced 650w.

ghetto ssd and hard drive you don't need a 8700k for a 1080 ti. a highly OC 8600k will be fine.

The cpu can not be easily overclocked on a B250 chipset motherboard. A z270 motherboard would be required for this. But it seems to me that the better option would be to go with an i5-8500 on a B360 or H370 motherboard. The i7-7700K performs about the same as the i5-8500. If budget allows, you might even consider an i7-8700.

With a locked processor one can save on the cpu cooler. The stock cooler will do the job. Something like a Cryorig H7 will do a better job and is not too expensive.

If overclocking is desired, consider an i5-8600K on a z370 motherboard.

There are much better psu than the G1. You might look for a 650W Seasonic Focus, Focus Plus Gold, or Corsair RMx.

Get a 2x8GB memory kit. This will leave two slots free for a non replacement upgrade should it ever be necessary. If you stick with the i7-7700K, get DDR4-2400 or faster. Coffee Lake i5 and i7 do better with DDR4-2666 and faster memory.

SSD is a must for me. Instead of a 2TB WD Black, consider a 240GB+ ssd and a 1TB or 2TB WD Blue or Seagate Barracuda.

I believe the selected case comes with 1 stock fan. If an aio is not used, another fan should be installed.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Yes, both are good cards.

The Turbo Card is recommended for restricted airflow. Performs similarly to FE. Good card.

The Aorus card is great value even without the mail-in rebate. Takes a month or two to get your prepaid visa from rebates.

If i change motherboard it would be good to change the cpu and then gpu too but i need pc for streaming/recording you know to have more frame rates per second i need more options before buying it!

Is there a reason why you're not getting an 8700k?

Ryzen 9 3950x - 64 GB DDR4 - NVME 980 pro SSD - EVGA RTX 3080 FTW Ultra - FAD CASE

No SSD for windows/important programs? if you're getting a B250 motherboard, save yourself enough to get one by buying a non-k 7700.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

It's likely down to budget.

Also, I'd like to think that the new i5 based build would do quite well with most modern games, pushing 50-60fps at 1080p no problem.

It'd be good for streaming and recording provided you'd turn down the settings just a touch with demanding games.

To be honest, the 8700 and 1070 would be a much better pair than an i5 and a 1080 Ti. Save yourself the money as it's not really worth buying a medium-high end CPU and an absolutely overkill GPU..

only do this if you're gonna use a high refresh rate monitor.

Coffee Lake i5 & i7 have a stock memory speed of DDR4-2666. Data indicates that in many cases performance is noticeably lower with slower memory.

There's a lot of problems with your build, I'd really recommend you take a step back and do a little more research, If you're getting a K series CPU then get a Z motherboard so you can OC, otherwise do not get the K.

an i7 8700 with a 1070 will likely make you happier than a 1080ti and an i5.

build your PSU around your build, not to what sounds right, leave a little wiggle room. A lot of people get away with a quality 650w psu with i7 and 1080. Modern parts are not as bad as they used to be with power hogging.

Your ram is very slow, 2400 MHz is cheap but with the other parts in your list seems a little silly.

I understand the excitement behind building and we all have our budgets but take a little more time, it's a big investment weather its a $500 build or 2k.
