Help converting video signal

I want to connect an HDMI video output to a VGA monitor and what's the best way of doing that? (I know that the image quality won't be the best)

This is an HDMI to VGA cable. Should work perfectly fine.

That one takes its power through the HDMI port which is not something I'd trust.
