Hello, I am planning to build my very first gaming pc, I am 18years old, so I am on budget (1100$). I need everything from case to monitor. Here in Serbia pc parts are pretty expensive so keep that in mind. In my head I built this pc:

-cpu: ryzen 5 1600

-mobo: gigabyte b350m

-ram: 2x8gb 2666MHz kingston hyper x

-psu: kolink 850w 80bronz (its on sale now, only 45$)

-storage: M.2 adata 1700mbs / 450mbs (later I will add a 1TB hdd)

-case: coolermaster mb600l

-monitor: probably a fhd benq ips monitor for 150$

-some cheap mouse and keyboard(maybe upragade them as well later) I already have a nice jbl headset (think that will perform great)

-gpu: I not exactly know that do I buy a 1060 now, or wait for 1160?

I really need help, so please, every suggestion would be helpful. All the parts are from www.emmi.rs and www.gigatron.rs

Gaming pc: CPU(AMD Ryzen 5 1600), MOBO(MSI B450M Bazooka), RAM(DDR4 2x8GB 2666MHz Kingston Fury Black), STORAGE(120GB WD Green SSD , 1TB WD Blue HDD), GPU(incoming), PSU(incoming), CASE(Nzxt h400i)

That sounds sketchy, check reviews.

You should buy a case that has a mesh front so you actually have airflow.

If X470 boards are relatively cheap maybe grab one of those with the R5 2600 if the price is close.

Go for an RX 580 over the 1060 if the price is the same, don't buy the 3GB 1060 in any event.

Should be able to find some 1080p free-sync monitors on the cheap.

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

In Serbia I could not even find an x470 board, and to run a 2600 in a b350 mobo need bios update or not? A 1060 6gb is not better than an rx580?

agree with you for the psu and case, but i disagree for x470 or r5 2600 because b450 is enough for overclocks and x470 motherboards which are cheap have almost the same features as b450 ones, and the ryzen 2 series is not a huge jump in performance that they would be actually valuable, especially with the huge price drop of ryzen 1st gen

1060 6gb has better performance over the 580 but that is not great difference

The motherboard will probably have a BIOS update already for Ryzen 2000, contact the retailer before hand. Ryzen 2000 is likely worth it if the price difference isn't much.

The RX 580 and 1060 swap places, but with AMD you might be able to find cheaper free-sync display like these. and the bit of extra VRAM may be useful on the 8GB model.

The LG one is 1080p 75Hz IPS

LEFT is computer with r5 1600, gtx 1060

RIGHT is computer with r5 2600, rx 580

You said gaming computer and as you can see "Gaming" percentage stays almost untouched with the r5 2600 compared to the r5 1600

That website is mostly useless

the R5 2600 is going to hit about 4300mhz at it's peak

an R5 1600 is limited close to 4000mhz with worse memory support.

how do you support your statement that the cpu which is here for a whole year longer has lesser memory support compared to an almost new platform?

also speed is not the only thing which matters, otherwise the r7 1700 would be complete trash in games with its measly 3ghz clock (3.7 boost)

Its not worth to spend more on a cpu which will deliver negligible difference, and a more expensive x470/b450 platform

You don't need B450 or X470 to run a Ryzen 2000 chip, the difference isn't huge, maybe 5+%, but if the price is close it's worth it. It also hits higher frequencies at lower voltages, which is useful for lower end boards.

Ryzen 2000 has an improved memory controller, not something you can change with software updates.

Clockspeed/IPC is the most important thing for gaming on the CPU side, memory being 2nd.

preliminary memory testing.

you do not need b450/x470 yes, but for an example, lets take the price of r7 1700, which was 330$ when released, and now it is only 215$, while its 2nd gen counterpart, the r7 2700, stays high at 280$

in that comparison, a 2-5% increase for 65$ isnt really worth it dont you agree?

edit: also, motherboards, low or high end, must be capable of running cpus (lower end not, or slightly overclocked cpus even), otherwise they would never leave the factory

That's why I said it's only worth it if the price is close.
