Normally you just post it in a new thread.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

A thread besides the classifieds where you can get opinions on what your used (or new even idk) hardware is worth

If you want an opinion on what something is worth, I'd probably post in the subforum relevant to what you're asking about. Do not offer the item for sale in that thread though, this is what the classifieds are for. You also do not have enough posts for the classifieds section, as it requires at least 100 posts.

What do you need to know the value of?

in which forum though?

For single parts, under same subforum where you'd ask info about it anyway. If you have bunch of differences, New builds is correct place.

Honestly I'd just ask on Reddit. You're likely to get a faster, more reliable answer.

If you're trying to sell locally, follow this:

  1. Check your local classifieds.
  2. Compare pricing.
  3. Price accordingly.
  4. Sell.
  5. Profit.

Pricing is not universal. Certain areas will warrant higher pricing, others lower. Unless the person lives in the same area you do, you're not really getting an accurate picture of what you could expect to get for your items. eBay isn't a great resource either, unless you plan on selling on eBay.

You have to quote or tag people for them to know you've replied to them.

This great point. Just difference between US and countries which have national sales tax makes difference. 270X few years back is good example. In here the used price was €130-170 ($150-190 in current rate.) It was 2-3 year old card so higher price meant warranty included. In US you'd have been lucky to get over $120 for it.

Aye, hell it's especially true for small towns where there's little to no competition. People will still want to save, so you can just shave off $100 and they'll still buy it as it's cheaper than buying new.
