Hello,

I am building myself a pc for both gaming and for school. I am trying to spec out the best pc for both. For school the only requirement i have is that i can run autodesk and similar programs and for gaming i want a well rounded build that can deliver as much fps as i can at 1080p on an ultrawide monitor at max settings as well as being able to run a vr setup nicely. Here is my part list https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xWTrmq. This is my first gaming pc build so any advice on the parts or anything else would be nice

Thanks

Okay thanks, let me make some changes to the ssd. Why would you change the cooler is there that much of a difference. Plus then i would have to get a different case. Would it be worth it

Okay I made some changes. I am not going to change the cooler because i like the case but i changed the ssd to a bigger capacity at @Shimejii idea and changed the hardrive to the one @Sernefarian recommended. I also swapped the gpu to the one that @Firewrath9 recommended as it is the same gpu for almost $200 off.

Thanks for the help everyone. Any more ideas

not worth the price, he's better off just overclocking the 8700k.

Your mobo is overly expensive, same with ram. Wd blacks are only a little better than barracudas get a cheaper case, and corsair txms are almost fully modular for 50$ less, only has a permanant 24 pin and 8 pin and cpu pin.

all of those brands are well-known, Adata, team group and Asrock have been selling their products for years.

Any better advice on a motherboard. I want one with aura sync. I am swapping the hardrive with a barcuada one and in response to the case and power supply i want that case and i prefer fully modular. It just looks better

I should rephrase. I want to stick to brands i have used and know just because i trust them. I am sure that adata and asrock are fine it is just a preference thing
