Which slot for my gpu?

Pcie2 is closer to my cpu, and pcie4 is further away from my cpu.

Which one should I use?

GPU: Rx 580 8GB

Interesting. Generally you want to put it in the slot closet to your cpu 16x slot or the one below it if space is a must.  

 

What board do you have?

read the manual the board came with and it says which slot a single gpu goes in.

typically it's the one closest to the cpu but since there no make or model I won't jump to such a simple conclusion.

Asrock AB350 pro4 is the motherboard I have.

Both manuals don't say where to put it.

after looking at the manual myself it says on page 24 that the gpu goes in slot 2 , or slot 4 if you want it to run slower than normal at 4x
