I am looking to get into water cooling and I have no idea where to start. I will move my build to the Arc Mini R2 from the Prodigy M. I will be able to use a 360mm rad up top because I don't need an ODD. I would prefer red tubing and red coolant to match my build. The parts that I think you need to know are:

4770k

780 ti EVGA superclocked

ASUS Maximus VI Gene

Thanks

You need

Pump

Res

Rad

Blocks

Tubing

Coolant

Fittings (buy a couple spare)

If going red coolant get clear tubing. Primochill advanced lrt

Res before pump.

Take a look at the 101 thread/faq in the stickies

I did, but could you recommend some good rads (would prefer the inlet and outlet to be on opposite side) and most of the other parts. I would want a res that is one of the clear cylinder reservoirs. Also, this is how it should go: Res-> pump-> components-> rad->res. Is that correct. Bear with me, it is my first time :P.

The order of the components don't matter to much as the liquid move through quite quickly. The only thing that really matters is that your reservoir is above your pump.

There are heaps of brands that make radiators. I don't know if anyone would say that any are 'bad'. Alphacool, XSPC, EK, AquaComputer there are heaps out there. Just go to any online web store and look through their range and if you're unsure post it on here to get your decision verified. The only real thing that you may be concerned about with radiators is the FPI or Fins Per Inch. The lower the FPI the better suited for low speed fans, the Higher FPI requires higher RPM fans but does offer better cooling performance.

Do you know any rads with the inlet and outlet on opposite sides?

What about the XSPC Raystorm? It has everything needed to start, except the 780 block.

Opposite sides or opposite ends?

All have opposite sides, the Alphacool have a lot of inlet outlet options, the AquaComputer have the most inlet/outlet options that im away of on any radiator.

SO MUCH FANCY WATERCOOLING TALK :P

But is the one you are talking about have the inlet/outlet on one end and the other on the other end?

Yeah I have one of the 240mm versions and it helps cut down tubing if you need to go to the other side of the case. The only bad thing is it is only 35mm thick and it has a high FPI (fins per inch) so you will need to run the fans a little higher RPM. It keeps my CPU pretty cool with a 1Ghz oc
