CS:GO Really Low FPS, Please Help

aidan_mondo

So recently I started playing CS:GO again on my new pc but when I installed it the fps count was very low not going above 80 and usually sticking around 60, I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I am running an intel i7 7700k kady lake with a ROG Nvidia Geforce 1080ti. On my other games such as overwatch or fortnite, I get around 150-200 fps running at highest settings for my 2k monitor with 165hz. Please help.

Make sure v-sync is off in-game and in the nvidia control panel for CS:GO.

You could also try adding some launch options such as

-freq 165 +fps_max 165 -high -threads 8 -nod3d9ex -novid

If you want to use the new UI, add the launch option

-panorama

If you want to up the max FPS at all, increase the +fps_max launch option.

I also tried running some other steam games like portal an I maxed out at like 110fps. Could it just be steam?
