also use uk.pcpartpicker.com. also if you are in the uk, why do you have your budget in euros?

I assume you are in the uk if you want to use amazon UK

Not necessarily, I'm from Belgium and I also buy things from Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.fr and Amazon.de

you are going to need a better cpu. are you comfortable with overclocking?

Not particularly, I read that the 8400 wont bottleneck the gpu at 1440p so thought this cpu would be enough.

Do you think that an overclockable would be a much better fit?

I was thinking of changing the cooler to a corsair h100i incase i decide to get an overclockable cpu in the future.

thanks

I would get a larger SSD, and maybe a M.2 one. Also, I would step it up to at least a 8600K, OC'ing might come in handy in the future, and you selected a Z motherboard so I would strongly advise looking into a unlocked chip. Otherwise the build looks good.

ill be mainly gaming and there is an approximate 30-50 pound difference between the sata and the samsung 970pro (on sale) price, is this price difference worth it would you say??

thanks xD

No, imo a difference between.25 seconds for a NVMe and 1 second for a ssd isnt much compared to 1 second and 5 for a hard drive.

You have plenty of budget for a i7 and a h150i will last you a long time.

Use that money for a better CPU. As I've said: buy the 8700K and overclock the chip.

My main advice would be to swith the 8400 to an 8700K and overclock the chip. You have a Z motherboard, so you might as well use its overclocking capabilities. ;)
