And what is this one source? Lol.

They might have just put them on sale for a little bit, which even with Intel cpu's isn't uncommon for them to knock like $20-30 off.

Maybe your local store ran out of them and that is why they rised the price a bit?

Well, it depends on what you're looking at. Lowest prices? Average sale prices?

Looking at the price chart at PCPartPicker for the 8700k, some vendors' prices fluctuate heavily while others are pretty steady. Look at newegg for example: despite a 2-day long jump at the beginning of June prices were steady at $372.99 since the 24th of May. B&H is also pretty stable with slightly decreasing prices. Best Buy on the other hand dropped hard down to $339.99 between 17th and 24th of June just to go back up to $369.99. Looks like a one week offer.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

What does specs have to do with knowledge?  Plus, the homophobic wanna be insult has no place here, and shows how immature and stupid you are.

If you do have an uncle at Intel, why didn't you just ask him?
