Windows 10 wont update

Disable the Windows Update and Cryptographic Services in services.msc, then delete the folders C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and C:\Windows\System32\catroot2.

 

Reboot, then re-enable both services and try checking for updates again.

 

Edit to clarify: Do NOT delete C:\Windows\System32\catroot, only the catroot2 folder. the catroot folder stores the signatures for windows default files, catroot2 is for everything updated after install.

I had the same issue and what ended up working for me is using the windows 10 update tool and also uninstalling or disabling all my extra peripheral software. So corsair link, logitech gaming software, wallpaper engine, geforce experience, and so on. Then I also unplugged my keyboard and mouse when updating and it worked

Which build are you on right now? have you tried installing the update manually? The latest is KB4338819 17134.165 for Windows 10 1803. You can download the manual update here (pick the relevant cumulative version, don't use a delta update)

 

Also make sure you have KB4343669 installed first.

Might be worth your time starting a new thread to talk about that, not least of all since it might get fresh eyes on it, but because it might help someone else if they search the forum for it in future.

 

If you can, take a screenshot of your drivers tab on latencymon when you post it, since it might give us some more info.
