I don't think it would go up that much because of that.

It may. Think about it. Gox is already the largest BTC exchange, so they already have a lot of customers. So once LTC gets added, all of those consumers will be buying, selling, and trading in Litecoin, of course, alongside Bitcoin.

It may. Think about it. Gox is already the largest BTC exchange, so they already have a lot of customers. So once LTC gets added, all of those consumers will be buying, selling, and trading in Litecoin, of course, alongside Bitcoin.

Firstly, LTC has been getting added to Gox since last March. In fact, it's been within "weeks" for several months now. While it may happen, it won't be for a while yet. First they need to get their Midas trading engine online. Then after it's been proven stable, they will consider adding additional coins. They have tickers for both LTC, and NMC; But like any announcement, those tickers have been around since last spring.

Second, Gox is not the largest exchange. Currently it's FXBtc which has about 40% more volume than Gox. Even then, on USD only exchanges, Gox is one of the top, but not the largest/highest volume exchanges over weekly volume charts. The past 24 hours, they did get a volume spike which brought them back to the top by only 1%. I'd expect them to fall back to third place across USD based exchanges by  this time tomorrow.

I'd also add that two months ago, the LTC price predicted to increase by it being added to GOX was expected to be $10 - $15 per Coin, up from only $3.. The price has already increased substantially from hitting several of the worlds other larger exchanges. The influence Gox has over the community is much smaller these days. Having LTC added to GOX will not see a price increase much beyond previous highs.

Long story short, don't expect anything from Gox, especially a triple price increase from it's adoption.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

Ask me about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Crypto-Currencies, and/or Mining them.
