Cable Modem/Router setup for large home

DarkBlade2117

Home is roughly 3000 Sq ft and at any given time usually 4-8 devices could be connected to the wifi. We have Spectrum so the internet is connected via cable lines. Price isn't to big of a concern but it being able to reach each corner of the house is important.

covered in terms of what? Wireless? running ethernet cables?  For a house of that size you are probably looking at 3 AP's depending on the layout for good coverage.  Best options would be to have the AP's wired in.

I had issues in a large house with 3 APs where the clients would like to stick to the first one they connected to, ended up getting Ubiquiti gear and a CloudKey and manage the AP's through that, I get much better roaming results.

Hi,

As Snipergod87 said, ubiquiti is a good choice (plus, it's not expensive).

If you want to put more money on the table, you can buy 4-5 aruba AP (215, 315). And connect them to each room you want a good wifi signal.

You just have to configure the first one, then it will become the "master" AP, and put the configuration on all other AP.

But as I said, it's more expensive that ubiquiti. Depends on your budget and the time you want to get the AP up and running.
